Well here it is!

I’ve been talking about starting a Buden Bay Podcast for 4 months now… and we’ve finally got episode 1 released!

In this episode, I speak with one of my favourite modern songwriters. He is responsible for the masterpiece that is Docker’s Guild, a 9-album super-project which is in only it’s second album! It’s my pleasure to welcome Douglas R. Docker onto the Buden Bay Podcast.

About 10 years ago, in 2007, as a 14 year old boy, I discovered Docker’s Guild on Reverbnation. I fell in love with the never-ending synthesizers! As they were only the demo version of what was to become “The Mystic Technocracy, Season 1: The Age Of Ignorance” (the 1st album of 9) which hosted such high profile session musicians such as Guthrie Govan, Tony Franklin and John Payne… to name just a few.

Of course The Mystic Technocracy, Season 1: The Age of Ignorance is not the only album Douglas has released. As an interlude between Seasons 1 and 2, he released The Heisenberg Diaries, Book A: Sounds Of Future Past. It’s full of all of Douglas’ favourite science fiction TV show theme songs including: Doctor Who, Flash Gordon and Red Dwarf!

The next release we will see from Docker’s Guild will be “Season 2: Age Of Entropy”. I can’t wait!

As you can imagine, I’m a bit of a fan boy when it comes to my favourite songwriters. Douglas is certainly up there in my top 10… so expect some moments of “durrr” from me…

Listen to the full podcast interview (above) to find out Douglas’ songwriting process along with his most memorable studio moments and find out who will be on his next album!Separator toolKeep Playing & Good Luck,
